Pam Green, Training and Development Officer for Adult Social
Care/Cumbria Care
I became involved with Nutrition 4 Health in 2008 and been working
closely with Tina and Diane to develop a course called ‘Promoting
good diabetes care for service users’.
This course has been delivered to approximately 322 of our staff
to date ranging from kitchen staff, support workers and
management.
Evaluation completed by staff following attendance on the course
has been extremely positive. Staff have expressed their
satisfaction on both the course content and presentation of the
course by the trainers.
Back in the work place managers have observed menu improvements,
which has resulted in satisfied customers and seen improved
knowledge amongst the staff team around diabetes care.
I have regularly met with both Diane and Tina throughout the year
to update the course appropriately to meet the changing needs of
our service users.
Best Wishes
Pam
